Blog Tour: I Know Your Secret by Graham Smith

About the book.

DI Harry Evans – Book 2
“What would you do if your most intimate secrets got into the wrong hands?”
Set in modern day Cumbria, I Know Your Secret is a police thriller in which a priest is found crucified to the stone floor of his church. Fearing more attacks on the clergy, DI John Campbell and his team of misfits race to find the killer before he strikes again.
Meanwhile, DI Harry Evans, spends his days attending the trial of his wife’s rapist and his nights interfering in the investigation.
Can they catch the killer before he strikes again?

My Thoughts

IKYS is the 2nd Harry Evans book I have read recently, the 1st being Matching the Evidence and I can in all honesty say that it is a brilliant read, and I really believe that in DI Harry Evans there is a rival for the position of my favourite ever detective (position currently held by Roy Grace), for me I loved the style in which Harry operates and goes about the job he loves and gets results the best way he can – HIS WAY!!

There is real emotion and a depth to all of the characters in the team but Harry Evans is exceptional and stands out as a cut above, as he is bought to life as the pages turn and his personal trama’s develop, I was rooting for him all the way and willing him to succeed.

Everything about the book flows perfectly and the care the author has taken to remain true to policing today is obvious and for this I applaud him.
